Addiction Research
Welcome to the website of the Centre for Substance use and Addiction Research (CESAR) of the department of Department of Psychology, Education and Child Studies, Erasmus University Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
CESAR is a collective of researchers and clinicians investigating the risk and resilience factors associated with substance use and addiction. Our members study the interactions between the brain, behavior, and environment – from molecule to society – to inform clinical practice.
Aside from our focus on excellent addiction science, we educate new generations of young addiction scientists, provide science-based information to the media and policy makers, all in order to make maximum societal impact.
